Writing prompt, your safe– photo of the day
They say we are not our thoughts. We become our thoughts if they keep leading us down the same path. Our last prompt task was about writing down where is your safe and what makes you feel grounded. Get that list out today and look at it again. Is there something else you need to add? The main task now is to circle – in green or another colourful colour – the safe and grounded ideas that are solely dependent on you as opposed to someone or something else. Then answer these three questions:
1) What pattern/s do you see? i.e. I only feel safe when I’m in a relationship. I only write when I’m happy/sad. I only feel grounded when I’m on holiday, in my garden etc
2) Are you relying on others or something to make you feel safe? Are you relying on others to provide the feeling of being grounded?
3) What small step can you take today to start cultivating the belief that you can create your safe space? What would you need to do to commit to looking after this safe place? As always share your findings or read your answers out loud to yourself.
